Ever encountered funny warning signs in China? Or strange English translations of Chinese instructions? Well, then you have found a piece of Engrish in China. English is taught in China as the first foreign language in school and nowadays you will find some kind of English nearly everywhere in China. If you can really call it English is another story altogether though. Or would you ever say "Meet Carefully" instead of "Mind you head"? Even if you haven't come across Engrish yet reading this will surely make your Friday afternoon: This is an extraction of a Chinese Menu with the English Translation next to it. Any ideas what you might order? Here you go with soups
For the whole menu and more Engrish visit Rahoi.com and find a whole website dedicated to funny English mistranslations. It will make your day!
