If you are just a little hungry, or maybe want to buy something for later a bakery might be a good solution for you. They offer bread, sandwiches (quite different from what you call a sandwich), cupcakes, pastries with meat vegetables and cheese and sometime even hamburgers (with beef, pork, chicken, shrimp or fish). They also make lovely cakes and you can watch them being made and adorned.

You will be able to find bakeries nearly on every street in Beijing.
