In our opinion the XinJiang cuisine is one of the best China has to offer. The fact that we have a really good XinJiang place (from now on will be known as 'the Muslim place') very close to where we live must have something to do with that but we can't be sure. It's a small place but clean and well lit. A very nice and kind family runs the place and just seeing their red cheeks and smiling faces puts us in a good mood. We go to the Muslim place 3-4 times a week and sometimes even more, When we are not there we are probably eating at the TangCuLiJi place. The menu of the Muslim place doesn't have English but it does have pictures. To make your life easier we have made a least of recommeded dishes (link). We also recommend to take a walk at the HuTongs in the area(link). How to get there The Muslim place is close to DongSiShiTiao on a little street called Chao Nei, BeiXiaoJie. If you take the subway get off at DongSiShiTiao and take exit D. Turn left and walk straight for about 5 minutes. On the first traffic light turn left - now you are on Chao Nei BeiXiaoJie street. Cross the street and keep walking straight (south). After you pass two traffic lights you will a turn to XXXX HuTong. The place is on that corner to your right.
